Cocora Valley is the principal location of the national tree and symbol of Colombia; the Quindio wax palm and a wide variety of other flora and fauna.
Established in 1985, Cocora Valley is part of a larger national park known as Los Nevados National Natural Park.
Cocora Valley goes on for 58,000 hectares and is a popular tourist destination in Colombia and is noteable for camping, hiking, a hummingbird sanctaury, rafting, mountain biking and day visits!
